Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality,
invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit.

Pilates is often seen as a form of exercise.
Within The MW Way, it’s something more.
It’s a way of understanding how your body moves, feels, and responds – and using that awareness to build strength, mobility, control, and confidence that carries into real life.
This isn’t about perfect technique or rigid routines. It’s about helping your body feel more supported, capable, and responsive – whether you’re moving through everyday life, adapting to change, or performing when it matters.
Whether you’re new to Pilates or returning with more specific goals, this is a space to begin where you are – and build from there.
Pilates is not a separate method here – it’s a tool used across different stages of life and different goals.
To help you move with more ease, reduce tension, and feel more at home in your body.
Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve posture, or simply feel better day to day, Pilates supports movement that feels sustainable and supportive.
To maintain strength, mobility, and confidence as your body changes.
Pilates-based work can support balance, coordination, joint health, and overall physical confidence – helping you stay active, capable, and engaged in the life you want to live.
To refine control, coordination, and efficiency when demands are high.
Pilates supports how your body responds under pressure – helping you move with clarity, conserve energy, and perform with greater ease and control.
Pilates Coaching is offered in a way that fits your needs, your schedule, and your goals.
Personalised sessions tailored to your body and what you want to achieve.
Sessions are shaped around your needs, whether that includes:
Sessions are available:
Supportive, focused sessions designed to help you build strength, mobility, and control in a structured but adaptable way.

Examples may include:
These programmes are designed to help you build momentum, develop consistency, and experience meaningful progress over time.
There’s no one “right” way to move. What matters is finding an approach that works for your body – one that feels supportive, sustainable, and relevant to your life now.
Together, we develop a way of moving that helps your body feel stronger, more responsive, and easier to rely on – whether that’s in everyday life or more demanding moments.
Over time, this becomes less about “doing Pilates” and more about how you move, carry yourself, and respond physically – with greater ease, awareness, and capability.
Whether you’re new to Pilates or returning with more specific goals, this is a space to begin where you are and build from there.

A consultant had confirmed to me that I had eight fractures in my back and also suffer from osteoporosis. Pilates was recommended and I was introduced to Michael by word of mouth.
Pilates with Michael has made me feel a completely new person! I can now stand more upright, feel much physically stronger and my life is now worth living again. Many many thanks to Michael. If anyone has suffered as I have, please contact Michael.

I’m 72 and had started experiencing issues with bladder control. After exploring options elsewhere, I wanted a more practical, non-medication approach and turned to Michael for support.
Over six months, we had three Zoom sessions. The programme was simple and focused, with clear exercises I could practise between sessions.
The follow-up after each session was excellent, with written guidance and diagrams, and Michael was always available to answer questions.
I’ve noticed a real improvement in my bladder control and feel more confident day to day. I’m continuing with the exercises and expect this progress to carry on.

Three years ago, I went from being a fit 71-year-old, running nearly every day, to getting out of bed one morning and not being able to walk without holding on to furniture. Diagnosis was a damaged nerve in my lower back, leaving me with a partially numb leg and floppy foot.
In some Pilates sessions at home, Michael provided me with some exercises specifically designed for my problem and made sure that I was doing them properly. He knows his stuff! I incorporated them into my usual stretching routine, once or twice every day, and am now enjoying running again, albeit slower, and only twice a week, back to my exercise bike and rowing machine in garage, and swimming with the wife. So long as I watch what and how I lift, I’m back to normal apart from a slightly floppy foot which is only noticeable when I run.
Thanks Michael, you’re a real professional and I shall be eternally grateful for your help.

I joined Michael’s Pilates class some three months ago (September 2019) to help ease the pain from sciatica and to gain greater flexibility now that I’m in my mid 60s.
To be honest, I was a little apprehensive about my first Pilates class as I was a complete beginner and wasn’t too sure how I fit in. My fears were unfounded! The group was so friendly and Michael was so patient. He explained everything in a calm and knowledgeable manner – sometimes several times!
The class is geared to all levels and experience, with the emphasis on listening to your body and doing what is right for you. There are no right or wrong number of repetitions to do, you just build your strength up gradually and to your ability.
I have no hesitation in recommending Michael and his classes. In just three months my sciatica has improved considerably and my flexibility has increased dramatically.
